Infrastructure
In DTP Laboratory, we have state of the art Computer systems and training is given to our students in Designing Softwares like Photoshop, CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Indesign etc. The Computer to Film Laboratory has a Heidelberg Duosetter Film Imagesetter and a Glunz & Jensen Automatic Film Processor.
In Press work Lab, we have 2 Single Color Dominant 715A Offset Machines, Heidelberg Print Master – 2 color Offset Printing Machine and four color Flexographic Printing Machine. In binding laboratory, is equipped with Stahl folding machine, Cutting machine, Wire stitching machine, Perforating machine and laminating machine.

Equipments
The department also has modernized Computer to film Laboratory and Print Quality Control and Packaging Laboratory established through AICTE funded MODROBS Scheme. The department laboratories have machines and equipments to the tune of Rs. 1.5 crores. Some important Print Quality Control equipments are Tearing Strength Tester, Shrink and Skin Wrapping Machine, Cobb Tester, Ink Rub Tester, Edge Crush Tester, Electronic GSM Tester, Bursting Strength Tester, Die Cutter, Adhesive Tester, Temp. and Humidity meter.
The Department library houses resource materials like books, CD ROMs, DVD ROMs, Video Cassettes, Samples, Technical Magazines and Literatures collected from worldwide printing industries like Heidleberg, Manrolland, Technova, KBA Machines and Print Promotions etc.

Our Department Contribution to All India Federation of Master Printers, New Delhi
Under the chairmanship of various committees for last 24 years and being the past President of AIFMP our Chairman/correspondent Sri.A.M.S.G.Ashokan, has been rendering his services to the printing fraternity. The printing department faculty of our AGPC also has actively participated in the developmental activities of All India Federation of Master Printers, New Delhi.
- Collection and Compilation of Addresses of Printing & Allied Industries Data Bank of over 60,000 plus.
- Data Bank CD Rom was released during Golden Jubilee celebration, held at Mumbai, on 26th September 2003.
- A unique on-line questionnaire was launched to facilitate on-line registration of members.
- Realizing the need for a separate web site our college MIS Committee created an exclusive website for AIFMP under the domain www.aifmp.net during the Year 2003.
- Publication of monthly E news letter “Print Trend” on behalf of AIFMP.
- Uniting of all Print related universities and colleges in India for signing MoU with AIFMP, New Delhi.
