Overseas Training & Scholarships

Our faculty Mr.A.Paramasivam, Lecturer(SS) & Dept. Incharge underwent a month long overseas training at Heidelberg, Germany along with 10 faculty members from Printing Institution all over India. He had an exposure to world class printing facilities and interacted with leading Printing Technocrats in Germany.

Convener / Members in Syllabus revision

Mr. M. Nandakumar, Vice Principal & HOD is the Convener and Mr. A. Paramasivam, Lecturer (SS) is the member of syllabus revision committee for ‘M’ scheme syllabus revision on Diploma in Printing Technology.

‘M’ Scheme course materials and lab manuals were prepared and published for all the subjects by our department staff members. The course materials are available in our department website agpcptech.weebly.com.

  • Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi has awarded Dr .M. Nandakumar Principal & HOD/Printing Technology as Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam “Best Polytechnic Teacher Award 2013”.
  • Saveetha Engineering College, Chennai has awarded Dr .M. Nandakumar Principal & HOD/Printing Technology as Outstanding Academician Award (Saveetha Excellence Award 2019).
  • Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi has award Dr .M. Nandakumar Principal & HOD/Printing Technology as U.P. Government National Award for Outstanding work done in specified areas of Engineering and Technology 2019.
  • ​Our Principal has presented many research papers in International level conferences and got Doctorate from Anna University, Chennai.
  • Mr. S. Uthanu Mallayan, Lecturer presented a paper on “ERP in Education” in the 14th ISTE Convention held at Mahendra Engineering College, Namakkal.
  • Mr.M.Pugazh, Lecturer (SS) presented a paper on “Employability Trends & Challenges in 21st Century” at ISTE National Convention held at PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore. 
  • Our Staff Mr.S.Uthanu Mallayan, Lecturer presented his paper on “Mindset in Blooming Generation” at “Gludzia’ 13” State Level Paper Presentation” organized by Chandy Polytechnic College, Thoothukudi.
  • Our Staff Mr.S.Uthanu Mallayan, Lecturer presented his paper on “Ethics for Teachers” and “Trends in Education” at “Gludzia’ 14” State Level Paper Presentation” organized by Chandy Polytechnic College, Thoothukudi.
  • We have conducted State Level Technical Symposium Arasan Dharbar - Impression - 2015 and 2018, held at our polytechnic college.
  • We have been achieving 100 percentage placements since 1999.
  • We have been producing many state Rank holders.
  • We created databank and website for AIFMP.
  • Conducted many courses for the industry personnel.

  • Our former students Arokiaraj and Mohammed Ibrahim of 1998-2001 batch won the Award FIRST PRIZE for the Best Model on Flexography Printing Machine at the National Level Inter Polytechnic Model Making Contest held at IIET, Chennai.
  • Our former students Ruskin Thambi, Balamurugan, Vairavaraja and Hariharan of 1999-2002 batch won the FIRST PRIZE for the Best Model on Low Cost Contact Frame in the First Annual Convention for ISTE Students chapters at Periyar Maniyammai Colleges of Technology for Women, Thanjavur.
  • The model, Printing Down frame made by our former students Ramajulu, Amirtharaj, Vicent Suresh Kumar and Magesh Kumar Kali of 1999-2002 Batch won the Award FIRST PRIZE for the Best model at the National Level Inter Polytechic Model making Contest held at IIET, Chennai.
  • Our Student P.Maria Joseph won the Best ISTE Student Award for 2007 form Indian Society for Technical Education.
  • Our passed out student S.Sivaprakasam (2000-2003 Batch) was awarded"JOHANNES GUTENBERG FELLOW" BEST STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2002-2003 IN PRINTING TECHNOLOGY for his outstanding academic performance (among Diploma Institutes in National Level) instituted by All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP), New Delhi during the AIFMP Golden Jubilee Celebrations held at Mumbai.
  • Our students J.B. Vallimuthu and G.K. Venkateswaran won 1st prize in the Paper presentation contest on the topic “Security Printing “ held in the State Level Technical Symposium Arasan Dharbar - Impression - 2011, held at our polytechnic college.
  • Our Students A.Kanagaraj and A.Ramar won 3rd Prize in the paper presentation contest on the topic “Plastics Healthcare and Safety” at VSVN Polytechnic college, Virudhunagar.
  • Our students T.Sathya moorthy Pandian, A.Robinson on the topic “RFID Technology“ and  K.Vionth kumar, I.Ponnusamy on the topic “Automation in Printing Industry “ participated in the Paper presentation event at ASL Pauls College of Engineering, Coimbatore.
  • ​Our final year students participated in Paper Presentation contest at Kaveri Institute of Technology, Selam. The details are:
                1.       “3D Printing Technology” by T.Sathya moorthy Pandian & K.Sundar 
                2.       “Advance Printing Technology” by K.Vionth kumar & A.Robinson
  • A Paper Presentation contest conducted by Department of Printing Technology, Nachimuthu Polytechnic College, Pollachi. Our students got all the three places in the event.
                 1. “Automation in Printing Industry” by A. Ayyappan and K. Rajasekar – Ist Prize – Rs. 3000 /- 
                 2. “3D Bioprinting” by selvan A.Vinoth kumar and K.Kaliraj – IInd Prize – Rs. 1,500/- 
                 3. “Security Printing” by Selvan R.Marudhan and K.Sundar – IIIrd Prize – Rs.1,000/- .

Heidelberg Student Sposorship Programme at Germany 

The leading Printing Machinery Manufacturer, The Heidelberg India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai has selected our Institution to sponsor one deserving student for a 10 days Training Programme at their Training Academy in Germany for 4 years.

AIFMP Golden Jubilee Scholarship to Students

  • Based on the Academic performance and overall performance (among Diploma Institutions in National Level) All India Federation of Master Printers, New Delhi has sanctioned AIFMP Golden Jubilee scholarship of Rs.750/- per month for the duration of 10 months to the following students of our Institute :
